42-year-old fatally shot during midmorning ambush in Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MD – A 42-year-old man was shot in the middle of a residential block late Thursday morning and later died at a hospital, prompting a full-scale homicide investigation in the city’s Southern District.

Just after 10:25 a.m., patrol officers were called to the 4100 block of Hyden Court following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Medics rushed the man to a nearby hospital, but despite emergency treatment, he died from his injuries a short time later.

The identity of the victim has not been publicly released, and no suspects have been announced in the case. Police have not shared any possible motive or whether the victim was targeted.
