Virginia man wins $230K lottery jackpot decades after first big hit

North Chesterfield, VA — A Virginia man who once won big more than 30 years ago has struck lottery luck again, this time landing a $230,000 jackpot with a set of familiar numbers.

Wilbert Patron Jr. of North Chesterfield won the Cash 5 with EZ Match jackpot from the October 22 drawing after selecting numbers based on birthdays. The winning combination was 5-9-10-19-26.

Patron previously won $100,000 playing the same game decades earlier, making this his second major lottery prize.

The winning ticket was purchased at Chester Chubbys on Route 1 in Chester.

Cash 5 with EZ Match features a rolling jackpot starting at $200,000, with odds of matching all five numbers at 1 in 1,221,759.

Patron said he plans to use the winnings for travel.
