Maryland woman’s favorite lottery game delivers big payday

A longtime Maryland Lottery player finally landed a big prize after buying a Scratch-Off based on one of her favorite games.

BALTIMORE, Md. — A Bel Air woman’s years of playing the Maryland Lottery paid off when a Diamond Bingo Scratch-Off ticket delivered a $30,000 prize.

The winner told Maryland Lottery officials she has played Lottery games for years, always hoping to hit a big prize. That moment finally arrived after purchasing a $3 Diamond Bingo Scratch-Off ticket.

She said she chose the game because she enjoys playing bingo almost as much as she enjoys playing the Lottery.

The winning ticket was worth the game’s $30,000 top prize.

Aside from treating her daughter, who drove her to Maryland Lottery headquarters to claim the prize, to dinner, the winner said she has no immediate plans for the winnings.

The lucky ticket was purchased at Cheers Wine & Spirits, located at 100 North Tollgate Road in Bel Air.

The retailer will receive a $300 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
