Cleveland, OH – Late this morning, the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) and the Cleveland Division of Police arrested Jasmine Spencer, 27. Spencer was wanted for the aggravated murder of Dontez Lilly, 38, which occurred on June 18.

Lilly was found on Archwood Avenue with multiple gunshot wounds. Authorities believe an argument preceded the shooting. Early today, a warrant was issued for Spencer’s arrest, and the case was handed over to the NOVFTF.

Spencer was apprehended without incident in an apartment on West 33rd Street, near where the murder took place. U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott praised the Cleveland Division of Police for their dedication to justice and emphasized the strong partnership between the police and the task force in apprehending fugitives.
