Trenton, NJ – A lucky scratch-off ticket sold in Passaic County has netted one New Jersey Lottery player a $250,000 payday, leaving just one top prize remaining in the $250,000 Crossword game.
The winning $5 ticket was sold at 7-Eleven #11435, located at 218 Pompton Turnpike in Little Falls, for the January 27 drawing. It marks one of the six original top prizes in the popular Crossword scratch-off series, with five now claimed.
The New Jersey Lottery continues to be a major revenue source for the state. Since its launch in 1970, the lottery has contributed nearly $34.7 billion to New Jersey programs and services. Under a 30-year agreement signed into law in 2017, lottery profits now help fund the state’s public employee pension system.
