Police warn public not to approach the two suspects

WASHINGTON, DC – A gunpoint carjacking in Northwest DC triggered a police search Monday morning for two juvenile suspects, including one who was reported to be armed with a handgun, according to an emergency crime alert.

The Metropolitan Police Department was investigating the armed carjacking in the 1300 block of Peabody Street NW.

The alert was issued at approximately 6:41 a.m. Monday.

MPD described both suspects as Black male juveniles.

One was last seen wearing a gray jacket, while the second was wearing a black jacket and was reported to be armed with a handgun.
