Police ask for help identifying woman found wandering on Pelican Island

TOMS RIVER, NJ – Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman found walking in the Pelican Island section of Toms River on Saturday.

Police said the unidentified woman was discovered on Nov. 29 in the area and has not yet been able to provide officers with identifying information.

Investigators are seeking assistance from anyone who may recognize her or have information about her whereabouts prior to being found.

Community urged to share information

Authorities did not release additional details about the woman’s condition or how she came to be in the neighborhood but emphasized that public cooperation could be crucial to ensuring her safety and identifying family or caretakers.
