WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Homicide Branch of the D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting that claimed the life of a Southeast man early Monday. The incident occurred on May 6 at around 1:07 AM in the 3100 block of Buena Vista Terrace.
Responding to reports of gunfire, officers found 40-year-old Delonta Pearson on the sidewalk, suffering from fatal gunshot wounds. Pearson, a resident of Southeast D.C., was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are urging anyone with information about this homicide to come forward. They are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case.
