RANDOLPH, Mass. — A Randolph resident has claimed the final $1M top prize available in a Massachusetts State Lottery scratch-off game, closing out a run that produced ten million-dollar winners.
The Massachusetts State Lottery announced that Brenda Mellor of Randolph won the tenth and final $1M prize in the “$4,000,000 Monopoly Doubler” instant ticket game.
Mellor chose the cash option and received a one-time payment of $650,000 before taxes.
According to lottery officials, she plans to use the winnings to renovate her roof and swimming pool.
The winning ticket was purchased at The Variety Store, located at 2 Mazzeo Drive in Randolph.
The retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
With Mellor’s claim, all ten $1M top prizes offered in the $4,000,000 Monopoly Doubler game have now been awarded.
The Massachusetts State Lottery did not release additional details about the winner.
