Fugitive unit officers from the Boston Police Department arrested two individuals, Evan Velez, age 37, and Emmanuel Arnauld, age 30, for firearm and drug-related offenses on Thursday at 3:00 PM. The arrests took place in connection with a surveillance operation near 58 Cedar St., Roxbury.

The officers were on the lookout for Evan Velez, wanted on a firearm-related arrest warrant. Surveillance noted Velez walking toward a pickup truck in a parking lot, where he entered the front passenger side. The officers intervened at this point, removing Velez from the vehicle and taking him into custody.

Upon searching, Velez carried an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency believed intended for drug distribution. Additional investigation led to the discovery of 513 grams of cocaine beneath the driver’s seat of the truck owned by Emmanuel Arnauld, who was subsequently arrested.

**BOSTON, MA** – Officers patrolling District B-2 (Roxbury) arrested Cameron Leonard, 22, of Weymouth, early Saturday morning for firearm-related offenses. The arrest followed a traffic stop at Columbia Rd. and Holden St. in Dorchester at 2:10 AM.

Police noticed a vehicle with expired registration while on patrol. They initiated a traffic stop using emergency lights and sirens. The vehicle contained the driver and five other passengers, including Leonard.

During the stop, officers ordered the vehicle’s occupants to exit when they discovered the unregistered status. Notably, Leonard drew officers’ attention by raising his right hand while keeping his left hand in his pocket.

Officers conducted a pat-frisk and felt what appeared to be a firearm. Although Leonard attempted to flee, officers quickly apprehended him and found a firearm in his hooded sweatshirt. Detectives identified the firearm as a Sig Sauer, Model P320 M18, 9mm caliber, with a ten-round magazine containing seven rounds and none in the chamber.

The arrest was made by the Youth Violence Strike Force (YVSF) and Massachusetts State Police Gang Unit.

Officers patrolling near Harvard St. and Blue Hill Ave. noticed a vehicle being driven with revoked insurance. They initiated a traffic stop near 883 Blue Hill Ave., with four occupants in the vehicle.

Upon investigation, officers discovered a firearm concealed in a void within the vehicle’s center console. Jaydell Pouriet was identified as the driver and detained, with detectives recovering a Kel-Tec P3AT handgun containing five live .380 caliber rounds in the magazine.

Pouriet faces motor vehicle violation charges and is expected to appear in Dorchester District Court. The charges include operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, unlawful possession of a firearm, and unlawful possession of ammunition.

**Bensalem, PA** – A Bensalem Township Police Officer pulled over a dark-colored Mazda on Saturday after noticing heavily tinted windows and a traffic violation on Hulmeville Road. The vehicle was stopped on Park Avenue due to the violation, which nearly resulted in an accident.

During the stop, the driver, Victor Miles, age 33 from Flourtown, PA, refused to roll down his windows upon request. Officers observed an “AK Style” rifle on the front passenger seat in plain sight, within reach of Miles, after approaching the vehicle.

Miles was ordered to exit the vehicle, and after a brief standoff, he complied. The rifle had an obliterated serial number, a loaded banana-style magazine, and a chambered round, indicating it was ready to fire.

The vehicle was impounded, and a search warranted recovery of an AR-15 style rifle, loaded magazines, shotgun ammunition, a balaclava mask, gloves, a duct-taped hooded sweatshirt, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Miles faces several charges, including felony firearm possession, and is held in Bucks County on $30,000 bail.
