Public Intoxication and Traffic Violations Addressed in Stafford County

**STAFFORD, VA** – On Thursday, the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office reported several incidents involving public intoxication and a traffic violation that occurred Wednesday.

At 12:24 p.m. on Chesterfield Lane, Deputy J.E. Cordes responded to a disturbance report of a male passed out in public. The man was found intoxicated and subsequently charged with public intoxication. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until he was sober.

A second incident took place at 1:11 p.m. at the Shoppers location on Stafford Market Place. Deputy C.D. Sullivan arrived following reports of an intoxicated male causing a disturbance and flipping shopping carts. The man was charged with public intoxication and detained at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.

At 1:18 p.m., Sergeant M.E. McCann responded to the Clarion Inn where an intoxicated male was found lying on the sidewalk, with silver spray paint on his face. The man was detained and charged with public intoxication, then held at Rappahannock Regional Jail. Later, Deputy K.P. Hall responded at 10:54 p.m.

Wilkes-Barre Police Arrest Woman on Drug and Public Intoxication Charges

**Wilkes-Barre, PA** – On January 16th, officers from the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department responded to an incident on South Grant Street involving a woman obstructing the roadway. The incident occurred at 1:48 a.m. in the 100 block of the street.

The woman, identified as 37-year-old Carrie Hiemenz of Wilkes-Barre, was reportedly under the influence of a controlled substance. Her condition was deemed hazardous to her safety, leading officers to detain her.

During the arrest process, officers discovered drug paraphernalia in Hiemenz’s possession. Additionally, there was an outstanding arrest warrant for her from the Luzerne County Sheriff’s Office.

Following the discovery and arrest, Hiemenz was transported to City Headquarters for further processing. Police have charged her with possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication.
