Louisville, KY – Kenneth Beals, 57, is facing charges after allegedly shooting a woman in the arm over an argument about snacks. The incident occurred on Sunday evening when the victim confronted Beals about him eating snacks she had brought for her children.

Police responded to reports from the University of Louisville Hospital after the woman arrived with a gunshot wound to her arm. According to the victim, Beals pulled out a firearm after she asked if he had taken the snacks.

Beals reportedly admitted to eating the snacks before firing the weapon at her. The woman sustained a non-life-threatening injury and was treated at the hospital.

Witnesses at the scene, including the victim’s aunt, reportedly confirmed Beals as the shooter. The confrontation began when the aunt alerted the victim to Beals consuming the food intended for the children.

The victim drove herself to the hospital at around 7:03 p.m. Beals has been charged with second-degree assault and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

He is currently being held at the Louisville Metropolitan Detention Center on a $5,000 bond. An arraignment was held on Monday, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 6, 2026.

Paul Susie has been charged with first- and second-degree assault along with additional charges. The Anne Arundel County Police Department confirmed the man’s arrest following the confrontation.

Three girls were singing Christmas carols and approached Susie’s home, where one of them knocked on his door to inform him of their activity. Susie allegedly aimed a gun at them from a window inside his residence during this encounter.

Responding officers later arrested Susie, who admitted to drinking alcohol prior to the incident. Police reported that Susie’s front stoop was well-lit at the time.

A .40-caliber Glock handgun, which Susie possessed legally, was recovered at the scene. He has also been charged for handling a handgun while under the influence.

Officers responded to a residence on the 800 block of 8th Avenue South early Sunday morning at approximately 4:20 a.m. After reports of gunfire, police found two injured men, 44 and 55 years old.

The 44-year-old was reportedly shot twice by Gerads, who then assaulted the older man when he tried to intervene. Emergency medical personnel transported the shooting victim to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while the 55-year-old was evaluated and treated at the scene.

When confronted by officers, Gerads attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended after a short chase. A handgun was recovered at the scene, believed to be used in the shooting.

According to a probable cause affidavit, the shooting victim informed authorities that Gerads accused him of having killed his daughter before shooting him. After the second shot, Gerads allegedly struck the victim multiple times.

As police arrived, Gerads reportedly fled out the back door. In addition to the firearm, officers discovered bullets, shell casings, a bloodied metal pole, and methamphetamine.

During questioning, Gerads allegedly stated his actions were “worth it,” claiming his daughter was being held captive in the basement, although police confirmed no one was inside the home.

Police attempted to arrest Thomas, who resisted their efforts. After a brief struggle, officers took him into custody. **Brooklyn, NY** – A Brooklyn man was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison for the 2018 shooting of a 15-year-old boy at the Bushwick Houses. The shooting also wounded a 43-year-old man.

On Tuesday, Harris received his sentence from Brooklyn Supreme Court Justice Donald Leo for charges of second-degree murder, second-degree assault, and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Evidence presented in court indicated that on July 17, 2018, Harris rode a bicycle near 370 and 390 Bushwick Avenue. He then fired at least nine shots into a playground and courtyard, hitting Kyon Jackson, 15, and a 43-year-old man.

Jackson was pronounced dead at Woodhull Hospital after the shooting. Harris was arrested shortly thereafter, and the firearm was recovered by police.

At the scene, police found evidence supporting the victim’s account. The suspect, identified as 40-year-old Taneka Davis, was detained and charged.
