Six suspects unleash subway terror in Brooklyn robbery spree
Brooklyn, NY — A group of six individuals is being sought after a violent robbery pattern unfolded aboard an L train, leaving one man injured and another narrowly escaping an armed attack.
The incidents occurred within minutes of each other early Friday morning on April 10 along the L train line, according to the NYPD.
In the first case, around 1:30 a.m., a 56-year-old man was approached by the group on a northbound train near the Sutter Avenue station. Police said the suspects punched and kicked the victim, and one individual used a taser on his neck before stealing his bag and fleeing at the Wilson Avenue station.
Roughly 20 minutes later, the same group allegedly targeted a 30-year-old man on another northbound L train approaching the Bushwick Avenue–Aberdeen Street station. Investigators said the suspects again began punching the victim, while one attempted to use a taser and another displayed a knife and tried to slash him. The group attempted to rob the victim but was unsuccessful.
The victim exited the train, while the suspects remained onboard and fled.
The NYPD released images of the six individuals and is asking for the public’s help in identifying them.
