Suspect captured after Baltimore shooting leaves man wounded

Man charged with attempted murder in Baltimore shooting weeks after attack

BALTIMORE, MD — A 35-year-old man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder weeks after a shooting in Baltimore’s Northern District, police said.

Othneil Carr Jr., of Baltimore, was taken into custody on March 10 in the 2800 block of Boarman Avenue without incident.

Authorities said Carr is accused in connection with a Feb. 26 shooting in the 2900 block of Boarman Avenue.

Officers responding around 3 a.m. that day found a 28-year-old man suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment.

Carr was later charged with second-degree attempted murder and transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility.
