Suspect Flees Police After Crashing Through Neighborhood at High Speed

AQUIA HARBOUR, VA – A routine traffic attempt by local law enforcement turned into a high-speed pursuit ending in a manhunt in Aquia Harbour on Wednesday. Deputy C.D. Quebedeaux responded to a call at Briar Patch Park at around 5:18 p.m., after an officer needed assistance with a fleeing vehicle.

The vehicle, described as a black Honda driven by a Hispanic man wearing a black shirt, failed to stop, initiating the chase. The driver engaged in dangerous maneuvers, including speeding over 70 MPH and crossing into oncoming traffic.

The pursuit ended at Beacon Cove, a dead end, where the driver rammed into Deputy Quebedeaux’s cruiser, then fled on foot into a nearby backyard.

Despite extensive efforts including a K-9 track and drone surveillance, the suspect evaded capture. Deputy S.T. Myers and his K-9 partner, Gunner, discovered a bag containing 22 sets of keys believed to belong to the suspect. No injuries were reported among deputies or citizens during the incident.
