Manhunt ends in Pennsylvania after 24-year-old son accused of fatally shooting mother in Temple Hills

Temple Hills, MD – A 24-year-old man is in custody in Pennsylvania after authorities say he shot and killed his mother inside their Temple Hills home Thursday morning before fleeing the state.

Damari Lipscomb has been charged with the murder of 45-year-old Adia Lipscomb Mingo following a domestic shooting that unfolded around 8:50 a.m. inside their residence on the 6900 block of Westchester Court. Responding officers found the victim with traumatic injuries and pronounced her dead at the scene.

Investigators quickly identified Lipscomb as the suspect. Using multiple law enforcement resources, he was tracked down and arrested in Pennsylvania by a coalition that included the Prince George’s County Police Fugitive Unit, U.S. Marshals Service, Pennsylvania State Police, Pittsburgh Bureau of Police, and regional fugitive task forces.

According to preliminary findings, the shooting stemmed from an ongoing dispute between mother and son. Officials have not disclosed the nature of the argument but confirmed it escalated to deadly violence.
