Three teens arrested after early morning break in at Dorchester condo

Juveniles face felony charges after condo entry attempt

BOSTON, Mass. — Two teenage boys were caught inside a Dorchester condo during an early morning break-in Tuesday, and a teenage girl was later identified as an accomplice, police said.

Officers assigned to District C-11 responded at approximately 4:01 a.m. to the area of 52 Bellevue Street for a report of a breaking and entering in progress. Police were advised that two males were attempting to force their way into a condo while a female was positioned near the rear door.

When officers arrived, they observed two males inside the apartment. The suspects attempted to flee out the back of the building but were apprehended on a first-floor landing, according to police.

During a sweep of the residence, officers found the rear door damaged and off its hinges. Investigators also recovered a pair of discarded sneakers and a jacket inside the apartment.

As officers were preparing to transport the two male suspects, they were approached by a female without shoes or a coat. Further investigation determined she was also involved in the incident.

A 14-year-old boy, a 15-year-old boy, and a 14-year-old girl were placed under arrest. They are expected to be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court on charges of breaking and entering into a building at nighttime for a felony, malicious destruction of property over $1,200, and trespass.

The charges are allegations, and the juveniles are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
