Navy Yard stabbing leads to two arrests after violent street fight

WASHINGTON, DC – A dispute on M Street Southeast escalated into a knife attack Wednesday evening that left one person wounded and two suspects in custody.

First District officers responded to the 100 block of M Street SE at approximately 7:50 p.m. Wednesday following reports of a physical altercation between two adult victims and two adult suspects. During the confrontation one suspect produced a knife and stabbed one of the victims. DC Fire and EMS transported the stabbing victim to a nearby hospital with non‑life‑threatening injuries.

Responding officers recovered a knife at the scene and placed two suspects under arrest. 31‑year‑old Tiana Robinson of Southeast, DC, was charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife). 29‑year‑old Kenneth Evans of Southeast, DC, was charged with Simple Assault. The investigation remains active and detectives continue to develop the case.
