Unclaimed $5.9M ticket nears expiration in NJ

$5.9M jackpot ticking away as unclaimed ticket nears deadline in New Jersey

Trenton, NJ — A life-changing $5.9 million lottery prize is still sitting unclaimed with the clock now ticking down to its expiration date next month.

The New Jersey Lottery announced that a Pick-6 jackpot-winning ticket sold on May 22 at Eisenhower Exxon on Eaglerock Avenue in Roseland has yet to be claimed.

The winner has until May 22 to come forward before the $5,900,000 prize expires.

Officials also warned that a separate $50,000 Powerball ticket sold at D’Latinos Beauty Supply on Bergenline Avenue in West New York is set to expire even sooner, on May 3.

Lottery rules give players one year from the drawing date to claim prizes, after which unclaimed winnings are forfeited.

Players are being urged to check old tickets using the New Jersey Lottery app or online ticket checker.
