BAY COUNTY, FL – The Bay County Sheriff’s Office received information on July 27, 2021, that a document had been filed at the Bay County Courthouse with a forged signature on it. The quit claim deed had been filed by Kerrie Raffield, age 46. An investigation was opened and BCSO Criminal Investigators now believe Kerrie Raffield attempted to forge her husband’s name on a quit claim deed while he was incarcerated in the Bay County Jail in order to sell the home. Michael Raffield has been in the Bay County Jail since May 25, 2021. Raffield turned herself in to authorities on July 28, 2021 and had been charged with Forgery.
