Windsor ticket wins $100K Powerball prize in Connecticut

WINDSOR, CT – A Powerball ticket sold at 515 Wine and Spirit in Windsor turned into a six-figure payday for a Wethersfield resident who matched key numbers in the January 13 drawing to win $100,000.

The Connecticut Lottery confirmed the win on Monday, with the ticket earning a $100,000 prize thanks to a winning combination that included the Power Play multiplier. The lucky winner, a resident of Wethersfield, purchased the ticket at the wine and spirits store located on Windsor Avenue.

Powerball, a multi-state draw game played three times a week, offers nine ways to win, with prizes ranging from $4 to the multimillion-dollar jackpot. The $100,000 prize typically reflects a match of four white balls and the red Powerball, boosted by a 2x Power Play.

Winners in Connecticut have 180 calendar days from the draw date to claim their prize at a CT Lottery headquarters location. The identity of the winner has not been publicly released.
