Woman gives fake name during McDonald’s disturbance before arrest on warrant in Wilkes-Barre

WILKES-BARRE, PA – A woman accused of panhandling outside a McDonald’s drive-thru in Wilkes-Barre was arrested Thursday after allegedly providing police with a false identity and being found wanted on an outstanding warrant.

The incident occurred just before 2:40 p.m. at the McDonald’s on 750 Kidder Street. Officers were called to the scene after employees reported a woman soliciting money from customers and refusing to leave despite being told to do so by management.

Upon arrival, officers encountered the woman, who identified herself as “Roxanne Diaz” and claimed she was visiting from Staten Island. However, inconsistencies in her account led officers to question the information. Police also noted a strong odor of alcohol coming from the woman during the interaction.

After verifying her actual identity, police confirmed the woman to be 43-year-old Natalie Clarke of Wilkes-Barre. A warrant check revealed she was wanted in Cambria County on an active arrest warrant.

Clarke was arrested at the scene and taken to Wilkes-Barre City Police Headquarters for processing before being transferred to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility.
