Yonkers, NY – A single Yonkers retailer sold not one, but three second-prize-winning Powerball tickets for Saturday’s drawing — each worth a staggering $1 million, according to the New York Lottery.

The winning tickets were purchased at V & C Taneja, located at 600 Nepperhan Avenue. All three matched five of the five white balls drawn on October 20, missing only the red Power Ball — a combination good enough to secure the game’s second-highest prize.

It remains unclear whether the tickets were purchased by one player or multiple winners. Either way, the total payout from the one location comes in at $3 million, making it one of the most lucrative single-location lottery wins in recent state history.

Powerball drawings take place every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. The game involves selecting five numbers from a field of 1 to 69 and one Power Ball number from a separate field of 1 to 26.

The New York Lottery, which contributed $3.6 billion to the state’s public education system during the 2024–2025 fiscal year, continues to lead the continent as North America’s most profitable lottery.
