Bronx, NY — A 14-year-old boy was surrounded, beaten, and robbed in the middle of the afternoon at a busy Bronx intersection, as a group of suspects carried out the attack before speeding away in a gray sedan.

The incident occurred Saturday at approximately 2:35 p.m. near White Plains Road and Allerton Avenue, where the victim was first approached by an unidentified individual who struck him in the face with a closed fist.

Moments later, four additional individuals joined in, surrounding the teen and repeatedly punching and kicking him about the body. During the assault, the group took the victim’s cell phone before fleeing the scene.

The suspects were last seen entering a gray sedan and traveling eastbound on Allerton Avenue. No descriptions of the individuals have been released.

The victim sustained minor injuries and was not hospitalized following the incident.

The case remains under investigation as officials seek information that could lead to identifying those involved in the robbery.
