WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Law enforcement agencies executed 14 search warrants Tuesday morning in a sweeping operation tied to an April 13 gang-related assault and shooting outside a Woodbridge café that left two men injured and more than 80 shots fired.
The investigation by the Prince William County Police Department (PWCPD), with assistance from multiple federal, state, and local agencies, identified members of the Wheels of Soul motorcycle gang as being involved in the violent altercation at the Babylon Café on Golansky Boulevard.
Detectives determined that a 42-year-old man was forcibly removed from the café to the parking lot, where he was assaulted by gang members, sustaining serious injuries. The group remained in the lot afterward, where they were confronted by an associate of the victim, leading to an exchange of gunfire.
More than 80 rounds were fired, striking multiple vehicles and the building. No bystanders were hurt.
On Tuesday, law enforcement carried out coordinated search operations across Prince William County — including in Woodbridge, Manassas, and Nokesville — as well as in Stafford, Linden, Falls Church, the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, and two locations in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The raids resulted in 19 individuals either being arrested or actively sought in connection with the case.
The joint operation involved hundreds of personnel from agencies including the FBI, ATF, U.S. Marshals Service, NCIS, DEA, U.S. Postal Inspection Service, Virginia State Police, Fairfax County Police, and Philadelphia Police.
The names of those arrested and details about the charges will be released as the investigation continues.
