Marlboro police say 5 North Jersey teens in residential neighborhood were suspected car thieves

MARLBORO TOWNSHIP, NJ – Marlboro police arrested five juvenile subjects from North Jersey, including Newark and Jersey City.

According to police, “At approximately 3 AM this morning, Ptlm. Charles Wilson conducted a motor vehicle stop in a residential area.”

Police said the vehicle contained 5 young males from out of the area.

“Upon further investigation, an arrest was made and the vehicle was impounded. Ptlm. Wilson is currently working with our Detective Bureau and the investigation is continuing,” the department said. “We would like to remind all of our residents to stay vigilant in the fight against motor vehicle theft. Please lock your doors, remove your key fobs and garage door openers from your vehicles.”
