NEWARK, NJ – The Newark Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying an individual wanted for a shooting incident last week in the city.

Police responded to a call about an assault with a deadly weapon that took place around 9:41 p.m. in the 100 block of Irvine Turner on April 14th.

“Upon arrival, officers recovered two shell casings in a grass field. During the course of the investigation, officers also located a 2017 Honda Accord that had a bullet hole in the front passenger door,” Newark Public Safety Director Brian O’Hara said. “No one was injured in the shooting, but the victim, who was driving the vehicle, had an altercation with the individual pictured below before someone shot at his car at Spruce Street and Irvine Turner Boulevard.”

The individual was last seen on the corner of 18th Avenue and Irvine Turner Boulevard and is known to frequent the area. No one was injured in the shooting.
