NIAGRA FALLS, NY – A 19-year-old Niagra Falls woman has been sentenced to prison for the stabbing death of a 17-year-old girl in May of 2020. The woman was 17-years-old at the time she committed the crime and the Erie County District Attorney’s Office did not disclose the name of the suspect.
The deceased teen was identified at the time of the incident as Corrisha Thomas. The unnamed suspect was granted youthful offender status and received the maximum sentence of incarceration.
“On May 29, 2020, at approximately 8:30 p.m., the adolescent offender fatally stabbed another teenager during an altercation at the Ellicott Street bus station in downtown Buffalo. The victim, a 17-year-old female from Niagara Falls, died from a single stab wound to her upper chest,” District Attorney John Flynn said.
The adolescent offender pleaded guilty to one count of Manslaughter in the First Degree (Class “B” violent felony), the only charge in the indictment against her, on January 5, 2022.
