Toms River Juveniles Pulled Gun on Female Victim, Slashed Her Tires With Knife

TOMS RIVER, NJ – Two juveniles were arrested after they pulled a gun on a female victim and slashed her tires with a knife. Police did not release the age of the victim or the suspects.

According to police, on Wednesday, at approximately 5:00 PM, police units were dispatched to the area of Hooper Avenue and Caudina Avenue for a female reporting that two juveniles with who she was familiar with pulled a handgun on her and her friend and then slashed their vehicle tires with a knife.

The suspects had fled before police arrived at the scene of the crime.

“Approximately an hour later Sergeant Chris McDowell observed the vehicle in the area of Route 37 and Hooper Avenue,” the Toms River Police Department reported. “Following a brief pursuit that was terminated due to public safety concerns, the vehicle was later located unoccupied in the parking lot of the Ocean County Mall. Several police units responded to the area and located both subjects, with the weapon in question, and placed them under arrest without incident.”
