Paterson Man Charged with Drug Charges in Oakland

OAKLAND, NJ – A wanted Paterson man was charged and released after being caught with an illegal prescription for oxycodone, Oakland police reported today.

“While on patrol on June 9th, Officer Jonathan Coleman initiated a motor vehicle stop on Skyline Drive which resulted in the arrest of a Paterson, NJ resident who was discovered to be a Wanted Person out of the City of Elizabeth, NJ,” police said. “The 28-year-old male was taken into custody and during a search incident to arrest was also found to be in possession of Oxycodone without a valid prescription. After processing, the offender was released on his own recognizance with a court date to later appear in the Oakland Municipal Court.”
