NEWARK, NJ – The Newark Police Division is hiring School Crossing Guards. These responsible men and women assist parents and children in safely crossing streets as they arrive to and depart from school each day. School Crossing Guards are also authorized to direct drivers on when to stop and when to continue moving along roadways near schools where students cross. Salary is $300/week, which is $1,200/month. Hours are: Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. To apply, call: 973-733-7908.
