Brake Failure Cause of Highway 86 Tractor Trailer Crash

NORTH ELBA, NY – The New York State Police reported that brake failure caused a tractor-trailer to leave the roadway and crash into nearby trees yesterday.

According to the New York State Police, troop B responded to a tractor-trailer accident on State Highway 86, in the town of North Elba.

“The operator of the truck lost control of the vehicle due to brake failure and exited the roadway. The tractor-trailer came to rest in the tree line,” police said.
