High School Student Shot in Coney Island

NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department has announced that a high school student was shot in the abdomen, making this the second time this week that a student from Lincoln High School was shot.

The 17-year-old male was shot at 1 p.m. on Friday and the City of Lincoln High School near Neptune Avenue and Ocean Parkway. Police said the teen sustained one gunshot wound to the stomach.

According to police, the suspect is described as a male who was wearing a sweatshirt, black pants, and a black backpack. At this time it is not known whether the suspect is a juvenile attending the same school or an adult.

Two days ago a 15-year-old was shot and the abdomen at McLaughlin park in Brooklyn. The two victims attend the same school. Unfortunately, the fifteen-year-old did not survive his injuries.

According to police investigating the incident, no suspects or motives have been announced at this time. No arrests have been made.
