Male bank robber dressed as woman sought on Long Island

Commack, NY – The Suffolk County Police Department is searching for a man who dressed up as a woman to rob a bank in Commack. According to police, the incident happened at around 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Teachers Federal Credit Union located at 10 Vanderbilt Motor Parkway.

Investigators reported that the suspect entered the bank and handed the teller a note demanding cash.

The bank teller complied with the request, and the man, dressed as a woman, fled in a gray minivan west on Vanderbilt Motor Parkway.

Police said the suspect was a white male wearing a dark-colored wig with makeup and dressed in women’s clothing. No photos of the suspect were released at this time.
