WESTFIELD, NJ – Police in Westfield are investigating a brazen home invasion and robbery where thieves entered a home to take keys in order to steal the victim’s two vehicles.

“A residence on Faulkner Drive was entered at approximately 5:30 am this morning, and two vehicles were subsequently stolen,” the Westfield Police Department said today. “It appears the residence was entered to locate and steal the keys to the vehicles.”

The two stolen vehicles were both BMWs.

“Please be sure to safeguard the contents of your vehicles, like garage door openers, by locking doors.  Immediately report all suspicious persons, vehicles and/or activities to the police via 9-1-1,” the department said.
