Utica police issue snow emergency parking rules

UTICA,NY – Police issued an alert to residents in the city in light of the snowstorm which moved through overnight.

“Due to the anticipated forecast of snow tonight, the City of Utica is being proactive and declaring a Snow Emergency that will go into effect tonight, February 27th at 10:00 pm,” the Utica Police Department said in a statement today. “To facilitate safe passage for snow removal and emergency services, all vehicles must be removed from city streets by 10:00 pm on Monday, February 27th with no exceptions.”

Any vehicles left on city streets after 10:00 pm on February 27th are subject to ticketing and towing at the owner’s expense.

The Snow Emergency will remain in effect until further notice.
