Newark police seeking to identify shooting suspect

NEWARK, NJ – Police in Newark are searching for a suspect wanted in connection to a shooting that took place on Sunday.

According to Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé, just before 3 a.m., police responded to the 700 block of South 14th Street on a call of shots fired.

After investigating, police found shell casings on the ground. A nearby surveillance video camera captured the shooter.

No injuries were reported during the incident.
