Saint Elizabeth University Goes on Lockdown After Reported Threats Near Campus

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ – The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office was notified of an unconfirmed report of a person making threats near the Saint Elizabeth University campus and Convent Station at approximately 10:30 a.m. today. Contrary to social media reports, there is no confirmation of the presence of a subject possessing a firearm.

As a precaution, Saint Elizabeth University was placed into lockdown, and an active investigation involving multiple law enforcement agencies is underway. More information about the situation will be released as it becomes available and appropriate.

Students, staff, and the local community are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the appropriate authorities.
