Traffic Violation Leads to Firearm Arrests in Boston

BOSTON, MA – A routine traffic stop led to the arrest of two Boston residents on Sunday. Boston Police officers assigned to the District C-6 Anti-Crime Unit (South Boston) observed a vehicle making an illegal right turn on Columbia Road.

Upon making contact with the occupants, identified as Charkeem Hyatt and Leandra Hall, the officers were met with confrontation.

A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a Luger LCP firearm. Both occupants were arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition. Hyatt and Hall are set to be arraigned in South Boston District Court.
