Traffic Alert: Downed utility pole causing delays in Roanoke

ROANOKE, VA – The Roanoke County Police have issued a road notice regarding an ongoing incident on Colonial Ave. At 10 A.M. this morning, authorities reported that two damaged utility poles are obstructing the road between Lanewood and Thompson to Poplar Drive.

As a result, motorists are advised to find alternative routes until the issue is resolved.

Appalachian Power has been notified and is working to address the situation and clear the roadway. Police ask drivers to follow the instructions provided by law enforcement and exercise caution in the affected area.
