Hempstead Man Sentenced to 14 Years for Attempted Murder and Narcotics Sales

MINEOLA, N.Y. – Lex Lloyd, a 26-year-old man from Hempstead, was sentenced on Monday to 14 years in prison for conducting a narcotics business from an unlicensed daycare center and attempting to murder a romantic rival.

Lloyd pleaded guilty on February 15,, to a number of charges, including Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, and three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

The sentencing follows an extensive investigation by the Nassau County District Attorney’s office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, which began in 2019.
