NYPD Seeks Suspect Involved in Midtown Assault and Robbery of Woman

NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department is appealing to the public for information on an individual involved in a sexually motivated robbery that transpired within Midtown South Precinct on Sunday, April 23, 2023, around 4:45 pm. The incident took place when an unknown individual approached a 26-year-old female near 985 Avenue of the Americas. The suspect forcibly touched the victim and subsequently stole her phone before fleeing westbound on West 36 Street.

The individual is described as a male aged approximately 30 to 40 years old, around 5’6” tall with a dark complexion, and a slim build. His last known attire includes a brown scarf, dark green jacket and pants, white sneakers, and was carrying a yellow book bag.
