Unsolved Murder Investigation Continues in Delaware

NEW CASTLE, DE – The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit continues its investigation into the unsolved murder of Lisa McCrossan, 36, from New Castle, Delaware. McCrossan’s case dates back to April 2015 and remains unresolved.

On Sunday, April 26, 2015, at 5:31 a.m., McCrossan’s body was discovered near the east shoulder of River Road (State Route 9) between New Castle and Delaware City. The Division of Forensic Science determined her death as a homicide after assessing the traumatic injuries on her body. As the investigation unfolded, detectives discovered that McCrossan was discharged from Christiana Hospital two days prior, on Friday, April 24, 2015, at about 3:30 a.m. The next afternoon, a female pedestrian bearing McCrossan’s likeness was spotted by a motorist near Pulaski Highway (US Route 40) and Appleby Road in Bear.
