New Jersey 101.5 conservative radio talk show host Bill Spadea had a series of unfortunate events happen on Election. For Spadea, the GOP primary election day was terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day.
Spadea had made endorsements in several key state and local elections and lost all but one. Now, he’s facing criticism from the GOP who sees him as a liability in the 2025 election for Governor.
Spadea cannot win a general election in New Jersey. He’s far right. He surrounds himself with questionable figures and has been wrong about pretty much everything so far. Republicans could not beat ultra-progressive Phil Murphy with an extremely moderate candidate in 2021. Now, those behind Spadea believe a conservative Trumper can win a governor’s race in America’s second most left-leaning states.
“How many campaigns do you have to lose before you run for “Campaign Losing Expert” and finally win?” said New Jersey Assemblyman Brian Bergen.
While Spadea could mount an off-line challenge to Jack Ciattarelli in 2024, it is unlikely either has what it takes to defeat the Democrats in the realm of reality in the Garden State.
