MANHATTAN, NY – An 18-year-old male was fatally shot on the Lower East Side in the early hours of Sunday. This incident occurred in front of a local deli at the intersection of Rivington Street and Pitt Street at approximately 12:50 a.m. according to the local police department.

The victim, whose identity has not yet been released, was rushed to New York Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. As of Sunday afternoon, the police department is unsure if this was a targeted attack or a random act of violence and no arrests have been made.

Last Sunday, in the same neighborhood, a 28-year-old man was critically injured due to a gunshot wound to the head and midsection. Dajuan Bradley, 25, of Alphabet City, is facing charges of attempted murder for last week’s shooting.
