Woman kidnapped in Newark, forced to make $9k ATM withdrawal for release

NEWARK, NJ – Newark Public Safety Director, Fritz Fragé, has asked for public assistance in identifying the suspects pictured below. These individuals reportedly forced a victim into a minivan and coerced her to withdraw $9,000 from her bank account on Monday, July 3.

The incident took place around 4 pm on the 100 block of Adams Street. The suspects forcibly led the victim into a blue Toyota Sienna, threatened her, and demanded money.

The suspects then took her to the Santander Bank on Ferry Street where she was forced to withdraw the money, before they released her on the 300 block of Ferry Street.
