Columbus, OH – Police have arrested two individuals responsible for a shooting incident that resulted in the death of a 29-year-old man in the Italian Village neighborhood.
The suspects, Micheal Mickens and Michael Mickens Jr., have been formally charged with murder in relation to the tragic event that took place on June 19, 2023.
Local authorities received a distress call from a concerned passerby who reported the discovery of a deceased male near the dumpsters in the rear parking lot of a business located on the 900 block of N. 4th St. Responding promptly, Columbus Police officers arrived at the scene and found Isiaha Thompson-Angus suffering from a gunshot wound.
Medical professionals pronounced him dead on arrival.
Following a thorough investigation, the Columbus Police Homicide Bureau uncovered evidence indicating that the victim had been shot during a physical altercation involving both suspects in the early morning hours.
