MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD – Joshua Black, 31, of Olney, has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of second-degree rape and third-degree sexual offense by the Montgomery County Department of Police – Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID).

The charges stem from an incident that occurred last Thursday evening when Black allegedly lured a juvenile female into a wooded area in the 17700 block of Prince Philip Dr. and sexually assaulted her.

Following the incident, detectives quickly identified Black as a suspect and arrested him at his home without incident.

He was taken to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit and is currently being held without bond.

There is a concern that there may be additional victims of sexual assault by Black, and detectives asked anyone with information regarding this crime or any other potential victims to contact the SVID- Child Exploitation Unit at (240) 773-5400 or Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Callers may remain anonymous.
