NORTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – The North Plainfield Police Department is investigating a reported “Lottery” scam that took place on Friday, at approximately 10:00 am.

During the incident, two unidentified women approached a victim, claiming they had won the lottery.

The suspects convinced the victim to hand over $2,000 in exchange for the lottery ticket.

However, after the money was exchanged, the women left in a Honda SUV and the victim discovered the “lottery ticket” was blank lottery betting slips.

The North Plainfield Police Department urges the public to exercise caution when dealing with such situations and encourages anyone with information about the suspects to come forward.
