NYPD Searching for Subway Groping Suspect

NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying an individual involved in a forcible touching incident that occurred on Tuesday, July 18, around 11:40 am.

The incident took place on the platform of the southbound MTA ‘F’ train, at the Roosevelt Avenue-Jackson Heights station.

The individual, a man believed to be around 40 years old, approached a 21-year-old woman from behind and grabbed her buttocks without her consent.

The individual then fled to the mezzanine level of the station. The woman, who was unharmed, reported the incident to the police.

The New York City Police Department has released a description of the individual: approximately 5’8” tall, dark complexion, black hair, brown eyes, last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black pants, white slides, and carrying a duffel bag.
